In 2006 I trekked to Everest Base Camp in support of the Cushman & Wakefield Schools Around the World charity when I and three others from C&W supported Harry Farthing, attempt to summit Everest. This was an experience in itself and yes, I have decided to do it all again, overcoming altitude, sleep on a thin mat in a tent and give up on other comforts we are all used to!
All the funds that myself anf the rest of the UK team raise will go directly into constructing a secondary School at Miono in the Babamoya District.
The new school will initially provide 12 classes of 30 students, 2 blocks of laboratories, a library and a computer room. The residential facilities will comprise 7 blocks of dormitories, dining hall/kitchen, sick bay and housing facilities for teachers and new sports facilities.
